JENNIFER MOELLER

Founder of Moeller Law LLC

moellerlawllc.com

Jennifer Moeller is a devoted estate attorney. She attended law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she participated on the moot court team. Before law school, she dedicated much of her time to springboard and platform diving, and was fortunate enough to dive for the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Though she used to be somewhat of an adrenaline junkie, Jennifer is much more risk-averse these days.

Jennifer was a trial lawyer and was an associate at the Denver law firm of Springer & Steinberg, P.C. from 2009 to 2015. During her time there, she was able to try a variety of cases in the areas of domestic relations, legal malpractice, contract disputes, civil rights, excessive force, wrongful termination, fraudulent transfers, and collections. She is particularly well-versed in domestic relations matters including divorce, legal separation, child-related matters (parenting time, child support, and the allocation of decision-making authority), and grandparent and non-biological “parents” rights.

While litigation was just as exciting as she had hoped, Jennifer sought to help people in a different way – specifically in a way that reduces the chances that their beneficiaries will end up in court by drafting a thorough estate plan.

Jennifer opened her own law firm, Moeller Law, LLC, which specializes in estate planning. This means forming a thoughtful plan to specify whom your assets will be given to and under what circumstances while considering the big picture issues including whether long-term care insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance is appropriate, whether there are liquidity issues, estate tax issues, or asset protection desires.

After starting her own firm, she gathered a group of colleagues who specialize in different areas of the law. They work together on many cases so that they can draw on each other’s experience and provide clients with a high level of legal advice/work product at a fraction of the cost.
